Last year your kind and generous donations helped send a team of 11 fencers to Denver Regional Open Circuit Tournament on April 25-27! Everyone had a great time, learned and improved a lot. We came home with five medals, including taking gold in women’s Division II! Four more fencers qualified in Denver for the Summer National tournament, making ten fencers from BFA who qualified in 2025.
Thanks to support from All Kids Play and USA Fencing and the efforts of Noah Holsopple and Emma Narotzky, the after school fencing program had a successful first eight week season at Ridgeview Elementary in Belgrade.
Thanks to support from Inland Empire Division, Chrissa introduced two classes of high school students to fencing at Helena’s Capital High
Our TRIFOLD Mission:

Montana Fencing Foundation (MFF) provides support for Montana youth to try the sport and develop as athletes.
Donations fund outreach activities for underserved populations through:
School demos and classes
Youth camps and programs
Scholarships
Fencing is such a positive community, there are so many good role models. I have learned how to pick myself up from failures and keep trying smarter and harder until I succeed.” -- BFA Fencer
Promote Parafencing- by Ensuring fencing is accessible by funding parafencing programs.
Physical ability need not be a barrier to participating in the sport of fencing.
MFF is working with organizations in the community to offer parafencing classes.
Donations support parafencing by:
Providing equipment
Reducing training costs
Funding travel opportunities
Support Montana Athletes- by Assisting Montana fencers with the costs of training, travel, and competitions.
Fencers in Montana face unique challenges. Competition means travel, with expenses beyond the reach of some athletes and their families. Travel for training and tournaments is an integral part of achieving competitive fencing goals so the MFF funds opportunities for athletes pursuing goals of sporting excellence, including NCAA recruiting and Team USA.
Donations support scholarships for:
